Unanticipated drama transpired at the solemn 9/11 Memorial last Sunday when a Hillary medical episode occurred that shocked because the visual proof was undeniable – Hillary lost control of her body that confirmed she is not well. It was caught on camera for all to see. Matt Drudge was demeaned for speculating back in October of 2015 about a “media cover up” of Hillary’s declining health. The Drudge Report was suddenly vindicated by an inflammatory video that mushroomed into visual viral poison. It rattled many, including doctors, and cast more doubts about Hillary’s physical stamina and presidential credibility. But more than that, it clinched a persistent suspicion of her inability to be honest. Why wouldn’t she be forthright about her pneumonia if not all the other medical concerns involving coughing, fainting, a seeming inability to climb stairs……a veritable litany of recurring maladies. It seems she and her handlers have an allergy to transparency. Her candidacy, baggage-laden from the beginning, has created persistent doubts, but this development put it over the top.
Hardly anyone doubts now that Hillary’s untrustworthy. Fully 50% of the country thinks Hillary is lying about her health.
Truth feels elusive. Hard to nail down. We can identify contentious goings-on that imply dishonesty. Things that don’t add up in glaringly obvious ways.
We observe journalists who promote malpractice regularly by misleading their readers? Their overriding need to pitch their preferred candidate takes precedence over truth. Facts are ignored, and lies advanced even when they’re demonstrably wrong.
Pundits and journalists support views they’re either told to champion or they blindly echo what their colleagues do, preaching lies en masse.
We see it too among neoconservatives who have opposed Trump from the beginning. Their conservative principles speak to a strong foreign policy, to a balanced budget not national debt approaching 20 trillion, to leaders who respect our constitution and to free enterprise and tax incentives that encourage productivity that translates to a GDP over 3% – beliefs that Obama and Hillary oppose. Still, they remain the not-so-proud never-Trumpers who by default support Hillary, a nonsensical approach they uniformly hold with righteous indignation. It’s malfeasance and not in the best interests of the American people.
Trump threatens them. They feel powerless. Their power remains intact with no-change Hillary and that’s all that matters. Their unwillingness to support Trump if he wins, ensures they will lose the coveted power they want to keep. They refuse to stand behind the candidate who won fair and square which attests to their lack of integrity. They betray neoconservatism and dismiss their own truth.
We’d also be justified in asking why a party would promote a candidate like Hillary who may be ill and unable to make it to the finish line. Is a Hillary-win that could knowingly flop intentional or is it just desperate. Democratic party leaders know Hillary may be sick. Is her chosen replacement already standing in the wings on high alert? Lack of disclosure about her health makes us suspicious.
Here are some facts related to the news media that make clear American people may have figured out a few things. Gallup tells us 27% have no confidence in the media compared to 8% who do. Only 30% of independents, a drop from 53%, and 14% of Republicans have trust in the media as compared to 51% of Democrats who do – a decided difference of opinion among the three groups though independents and Republicans are trending way down. What’s even more troubling is that 81% distrust Washington which leaves only 19% with trust.
Lack of confidence tells us change may be coming. Hillary is a known entity and a politician who appears to be in disfavor. Trump’s conducting rallies that attract thousands across the country. He represents something different that feels more comfortable than what’s come before. His leadership is lesser known but the people may decide to take a chance disillusioned by current leadership. DC appears to be in the tank for many.
Run-on immigration is also a problem related to truth. Laws exist for a reason and should be enforced because they provide security. When they’re not, people become confused then alarmed and gravitate toward a candidate who articulates their concerns and offers up change they hope they can believe this time around.
Politicians who encourage illegal immigration create chaotic outcomes that can lead to oppression and potential voter fraud. Illegals are problematic because they have not sworn allegiance to their new host country and pose a threat for that reason. They’re easily manipulated. They come to America for opportunities but crossing a border illegally does not convey appreciation or privilege.
When special interests gobble up power we know we’re in trouble. When large-for-profit corporations and billionaires including foreign interlopers, cough up money-for-influence, things have become unbalanced. That occurs when our leaders aren’t truthful. Our country starts to dismantle quickly.
More people may choose to no longer be fooled. They may decide to ‘out’ those they perceive to be their oppressors. It’s called taking their country back and could reflect a growing tide of disillusioned Americans who reject a status quo that isn’t working for them.
Vladimir Lenin rose to power using the power of deception. He eerily said: a lie repeated often enough becomes the truth. Repetitious lies are readily discernible in America today. Citizens who recognize political deceit don’t succumb to lies. The more there are, the higher the likelihood our Democracy survives.
Those who lean toward Trump have recently been characterized as ‘deplorables’. It was Hillary’s parting shot in a speech to donors but she ended up shooting herself in the foot when she said, “You can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the ‘basket of deplorables’, and calling them racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it.”
It reveals Hillary’s contempt for a large demographic who disagree with her views. Her elitist above-it-all self-regard is unmistakable. It’s a loud and clear declaration telling us she won’t give a damn about the people who dare to oppose her.
#BasketOfDeplorables became a huge trending topic on Twitter.
We’re beneath her contempt and we should believe her.
The people’s truth will emerge in November when this cantankerous election finally happens and it will be up to the voters to reveal their pick.
When we go to vote, we can vote for change!
You write all the things I am feeling about Hillary, and she just cannot tell the truth.
Why can’t our GOP support Trump and put their own egos and agendas aside, he is the only change possible. Not supporting Trump is supporting Hillary.
When Trump called her “Crooked Hillary” and it stuck, I felt very comfortable about him winning. I always thought he could pull it off but that was brilliant.
