Yesterday, terror struck again in America in San Bernardino where a growing faction of resettled Syrian migrants has become a concern for the Redlands Tea Party patriots, and rightfully so. A devout Muslim named Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, now dead, are believed to be responsible for a deadly attack in a San Bernardino County facility where disabled children were being helped. As of this writing we are told the female suspect posted her support of the Islamic State on facebook before their brutal attack on a group of county workers having a holiday party with homemade bombs and assault rifles that left 21 injured and 14 dead. Terrorism and ISIS can no longer be denied in Paris or San Bernardino. It’s here. Gun control isn’t the problem. Muslim immigration is!.
It’s not surprising then that the Syrian immigration crisis has become a contentious issue. Accepting these refugees poses security risks and impacts the safety of the American people. These decisions cannot be based on ideology and a refusal to recognize the truth. Obama embraces both.
ISIS has become a formidable adversary whose stated goal is the destruction of western civilization. We should believe them. They’re organized, lethal, even professional. The toxicity of their ideology, and advancements in weapons, travel, and communications makes any one of us vulnerable to attack. We see how that played out when we observe European Union incompetence in their attempt to catch Ringleader, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, a 28 year old Belgian man who put together the worst attack on French soil since World War II. He was on a Belgium watch list that should have alerted authorities to watch for him. When he was stopped in Germany, he wasn’t apprehended though he posed a threat. The EU might have thwarted this attack had they possessed coordinated intelligence surveillance enabling the sharing of vital information, a centralized database and secure borders to protect their population centers by keeping bad guys out or at least monitoring terrorists during travel undeterred in passport-free zones. Terrorist cells are well established throughout Europe. You have to wonder why they didn’t see this coming? Their challenge comes from hardened and radicalized citizens within the EU.
The denial of Islamic extremism fostered by a politically-correct meme prevails throughout the EU and America. If extremism is excused away by our leaders and declared a non-threat, then the problem seemingly doesn’t exist until it materializes with devastating loss of life. This idiotic perspective has dominated our thinking in the west. Obama leads that charge and cannot emit the words ‘Islamic extremism’ even when commenting on the brutal attacks in Paris. Preposterously, he declared ISIS ‘contained’ the morning of the Paris massacre. Obama’s assertions are dishonest. Our leaders, the ones charged with protecting the people are delusional, living in a concocted reality that poses danger throughout the western world.
The facts reveal that Abaaoud’s nine accomplices all came from ISIS in Syria so we know a Syrian refugee flow is fraught with peril. Europe is welcoming Syrian refugees as is Obama who deceptively describes these refugees as “3-year old orphans” in a humanitarian crisis. The facts say otherwise. We know 72% of the refugees are males between the ages of 18-34. We know too Syrians are a nation of terrorist supporters. FBI Director James Comey’s testimony makes clear the government doesn’t have the ability to conduct thorough background checks on all of the Syrian refugees that Obama says will be allowed into the country. Here again, Obama’s assurances equate to more dishonesty and guile.
As early as 2012 a pervasive denial of the ISIS threat was put forward by Obama to secure his re-election campaign narrative. The facts about ISIS didn’t fit the illusion Obama sought to create so he altered reality by lying to the American people. Enough uninformed voters believed him. That coupled with a weak Republican candidate enabled him to win the election handily.
Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency under President Barack Obama, told CNN’s Jake Tapper the following:
Intelligence reports in 2012 were neglected because “I think that they did not meet a narrative the White House needed. And I’ll be very candid with you, they just didn’t,” Lt. Gen. Flynn said. “I think the narrative was that al Qaeda was on the run, and (Osama) bin Laden was dead…they’re dead and these guys are, we’ve beaten them. However, they continue to just multiply.”
Lt. Gen. Flynn’s criticism reinforces similar allegations regarding the Benghazi scandal. Republicans have alleged that the Obama administration failed to intervene during the attacks of Sep. 11, 2012, and lied to the public about a YouTube video, because of concerns the attack would interfere with the campaign message that Osama bin Laden is dead, and General Motors is alive.
Flynn asserts failure to intervene (to save our men in Benghazi) occurred to maintain the integrity of Obama’s campaign message of bluff and treachery. These lies include Hillary Clinton, our former Secretary of State who played a substantive role in this lethal game of deceit. Her complicity here along with other sleazy considerations, forces us to question the legitimacy of her presidential candidacy.
We should be clear Obama’s support of the Shiites in Iraq, Syria and Iran has nurtured ISIS. His withdrawal from Iraq set the stage for ISIS expansion. He catastrophically changed sides leaning toward Iran’s interests in the Middle East. ISIS Is Barack Obama’s creation. It has grown exponentially because of Obama’s decisions. He created it, then denied its danger while denigrating Americans who criticized his behavior.
Cumulative lies have consequence. America is currently coming to terms with the truth about ISIS. Obama’s deception must be articulated by the Republican party. They must make the case that we’ve been willfully deceived by his administration. The well being and safety of our citizenry and the world at large is at stake. World War III has been declared by radical Islam. Without strong leadership we will not prevail.
