Things are unhinged. We’ve lost our compass. We have a president who is negotiating a secret nuclear deal with Iran. This is the country that shouts “death to America” with impunity and willfully threatens the entire free world. In fact, Hassan Rouhani recently described its negotiations with the U.S. as an active ‘jihad’. That kind of behavior doesn’t equate to conciliatory. Obama, a man who doesn’t understand the Iranian culture, religion or apocalyptic perversions insists he is the best guy to make this happen. This will give you some idea of how that’s going?
Then we have his former secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, who believes she is qualified to run for president. She decided when she assumed this position she was not inclined to release any emails and used an outside email service that did not provide the security she and her country required. Isn’t that an essential consideration? This was an irresponsible decision that rendered her easy pickings for taps by countries like Russia, China…. maybe even Iran. It potentially disclosed policy decisions before they happened. She stretched truth again by denying any classified information exists but that isn’t possible. She was Secretary of State, which made her the number two intelligence target in the world, just behind the president. Shockingly, we just found out. Those who received her emails knew long before, inclusive of the president. It hardly matters what she denies because many do not believe her. Good character begets trust.
Her behavior isn’t reassuring. It begs the question is she equipped to be our president? Her personal need to keep her communication under her exclusive control was more important to her. We still don’t know the repercussions of her actions. I’ve yet to understand how she is qualified to run our country. America is increasingly out of control if candidates like Hillary are considered viable contenders. Things no longer feel on track. Our allies know it. Israel too.
Netanyahu, despite the odds, won the Israeli election with a stunning performance. We were told he was behind in the polls. That was incorrect. Unbearable that Obama with his strategic operatives attempted to sway the Israeli election toward the liberal weaker-minded politicians. Netanyahu is just too formidable a guy for Obama who cannot control this courageous leader, a man who appeared before congress to warn of Iran’s intentions. Obama’s response was to attempt to topple an Israeli giant, our only true ally in the Middle East. Overall, the Middle East presents a scenario of continual devastation seemingly with no end. Israel mostly personifies the only sanity it has.
Obama’s disdain affirms how low he will stoop to influence an election in a country he views as an obstacle to his idea of world order. Put simply, Israel chooses to thrive, and survive and views Obama’s policies as a threat to both. To attempt to sway Israel’s election is unseemly. Fortunately, enough Israelis placed existential concerns before economic woes, which speaks to their sanity and common sense.
Tellingly, Netanyahu made Obama look petty, infantile and insignificant. He handily accomplished his goals and did it with finesse and dignity. Obama hates him all the more for that. We see a degraded disregard for a great leader and good friend.
I conclude begrudgingly Israel’s existence doesn’t matter much to our commander-in-chief. Anti-Semitism is raging. When it emanates from America’s White House, it becomes uncontainable. No counter for balance to support an ally we’re supposed to care about. I guess if you don’t like Jews it causes problems. Obama’s problem is that he cannot control his natural proclivity to do it.
Such contempt given David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel, both leftist Jews, who nonetheless helped catapult Obama to the top. Jewish affluence – big money – helped get him there too. We hardly hear a word about that from our American Jewish leaders or Jews who supported him. Do they know Israel has six million Jews and there are about 13.9 million Jews in the world. Do the math even if it goes against your grain. Israel has to matter though many are slow to arrive at that conclusion.
The latest hate-Israel Obama-talk focuses on Netanyahu’s comments declaring there will be no Palestinian state on his watch. How can there be? The very notion is ludicrous. The Palestinians have been offered their own state more than once. They rejected it and don’t want it. This two state non-solution has no legs yet it is pursued to portray Israel as the offender. If you’re going to pick on Israel at least provide a modicum of rational thought when doing it. Blaming Netanyahu for failing to bring peace to an area wracked with chaos is insulting if not indecent.
New warnings emerge that Obama may not shield Israel from pro-Palestinian resolutions at the U.N. The U.N. General Assembly assumes a tough anti-Israel slant largely because it’s dominated by rogue countries that egregiously violate their own human rights. Many don’t even accept Israel’s right to exist. For these reasons alone, the U.N. should be bounced out of global decision making for its disproportionate hatred of Israel while turning a blind eye to Syria, Iran, and N Korea…Boy Scout havens in their view given the spurious discernment embraced by the U.N.
As mentioned in a former piece on this blog, the honor of telling truth is challenged at a time of global instability and great anxiety. Prejudice and ideological beliefs have no place here. Aligning ourselves with Iran while dissing Israel is irrational. A lack of concern for national security by Hillary Clinton is daunting coming from an individual who likely will be the Democratic presidential candidate. These developments don’t begin to take us where we need to be. Evil encroaches on our freedom and way of life while our political representatives botch threats that cannot be altered. These mistakes once unleashed become irreversible. Here comes Obama’s Iranian nuke.
This administrations posture towards Israel makes one think what Obama’s foreign policy motives really are. He is bending over backwards to appease a rouge nation – Iran – that openly sponsors terrorism, yet condemns Israel’s efforts to bring attention to the existential threat she feels. That video is very telling. Thanks for posting this.

Elaine, thank you for your insightful blog. It is difficult to understand this administration’s war against Israel. As for the candidate Hillary Clinton, I am at even more of a loss to understand her credentials or her appeal, especially considering her obvious lies and illegal behavior regarding “emailgate”. America is sinking into insignificance because of an illiterate and uneducated voting constituency. We have lost our moral compass or regard for the truth from our politicians, our universities, our press and media. Without a clear understanding of what is right or wrong, or what is good or evil, we can expect a steady decline in our standing in the world, or worse, a world controlled by Ayatollahs.
I agree with Tema. Can you believe this stuff? Hillary needs to be prosecuted.. never mind endorsed as a potential presidential candidate. And this so called ‘deal’ we just cut with Iran… yes, things have become unhinged.

Yes it’s all disappointingly accurate, alarming… worrisome. But what is the solution? These posts cut to the quick.. and place the situation in focus..
