Juvenile behavior in high school, a topic of relevance today, denotes a period of youthful indulgence in which we seemingly test boundaries to learn how to behave. We watch the Democratic party and their mad-dog supporters and accusers engage in that same kind of behavior when political developments don’t go their way.
The nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh was such a development.
We know Trump’s presidency was targeted before he became president. The Democrats have refused to accept his presidency in concert with a deceptive mainstream media that’s an arm of their party and a treasonous Deep State who engaged in subversion to concoct evidence against Trump in the event he won the election. It was an attempted coup d’etat violating the will of the people to smear a duly elected president – an unprecedented act of treason imposed by our last administration that almost toppled our great country.
Are the allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh any different? He was set up to take a fall.
Donald Trump didn’t fall and neither will Brett Kavanaugh.
We thought it couldn’t get any worse until we met Christine Blasey Ford who accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual abuse when she was 15. Her performance at her meticulously arranged Senate Judicial hearing convinced many that her authenticity was real. Individuals stumbled over each other to declare their #MeToo snowflake compliance and questioning her accusations was demonized despite profound consequences for Judge Kavanaugh who was not given a presumption of innocence.
Perfect timing in an environment where women are proclaiming their sexual conduct allegations in startling numbers. Easy then to believe Blasey Ford suddenly felt compelled to rat out Brett Kavanaugh 36 years after the alleged act.
But not so fast.
What if I told you it was a sham, a smear crafted by the left to reduce Brett Kavanaugh to a gang rapist, a drunk, a despicable womanizer. A sign of desperation to be sure.
Many of you by now probably aren’t surprised.
After listening to Kavanaugh’s raw emotional testimony in which he powerfully defended his career and family, he seemed incapable of committing such egregious crimes?
It was a he said/she said contentious dance but her accusations lacked support from people who were acquainted with Ford 36 years ago including her best friend, Leland Keyser. Her inconsistencies were ignored by those who chose to believe her story. It was mob rule foisted by a Democratic congress to exact the results they sought.
Kavanaugh was even torpedoed by 560 law professors from 100 colleges who signed a letter claiming Kavanaugh did not have the judicial temperament to be a Supreme Court judge. Is indignation and a willingness to fight for your own integrity a sign of a man not fit for the Supreme Court? Or were these professors, all progressive no doubt, uniformly rejecting Kavanaugh because of their biased ideological views.
There was no due process for the accused so Kavanaugh courageously saved his own nomination with a passionate much admired defense that nailed his attackers with truth. He called his confirmation a ‘national disgrace’ and ‘a calculated and orchestrated political hit’. He was direct and unafraid and gained many supporters who respected his mettle and determination
Jason Chaffetz defines it this way: “We’ve learned that the Democrats have officially adopted a new posture – one that President George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and even Franklin Roosevelt could have never seen coming. The Democrats will do anything and will say anything – and I mean anything – to “win.”
Two of the accusers weren’t really accusers at all. Both women couched their accusations ambiguously inferring Kavanaugh was at some party but may not have been directly involved in the gang rape whose parties Julie Swetnick could not resist attending ten times. And there’s Deborah Ramirez’s gap-laden memory that alleged Kavanaugh exposed himself but she was so drunk she could be mistaken. No one remembers Kavanaugh attending any of these parties.
Their accusations collapsed upon examination and were guarded and embarrassing.
Deliberate false rape claims aren’t uncommon in our culture. A man’s reputation can be destroyed overnight. Character assassination has become a political weapon.
Blasey Ford had huge credibility gaps that induced prosecutor Rachel Mitchell to release a memo in which she concluded, no reasonable prosecutor would bring this case because Christine Blasey Ford has not offered a consistent account of her accusations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. All of Ford’s alleged first hand witnesses either contradicted her story or could not corroborate it.
Why name them in the first place?
Her inability to recall any details of the assault – when, where or why it took place was deemed immaterial.
An ex-boyfriend from 1992 to 1998 in a written declaration came forward claiming Blasey Ford did help someone prepare for a polygraph examination, a direct contradiction of her testimony. He also claims she never mentioned Brett Kavanaugh’s name during their 6 year relationship .
It seems allegations without a standard of proof are all the left requires to shut down a Supreme Court confirmation.
Are Blasey Ford’s motives part of an incestuous cabal of Democratic destroyers who will do whatever it takes to exterminate anyone associated with President Trump?
Why were her social media accounts and high school year book scrubbed before she came forward to impugn Kavanaugh? Only people with something to hide do that. This might give you an idea.
The now silenced Infowars tell us:
If word were to get out of her anti-Trump and anti-Republican politics, the American people would realize her coming forward with 35-year-old accusations just days before Kavanaugh’s confirmation is likely politically-motivated.
Also shocking is the left’s recklessness in exerting no effort to hide their duplicity. They want what they want and they’ll do whatever it takes to get it. They’ve stopped covering their tracks unified in their law breaking while overtly seeking their destructive goals.
Republicans caved restraining themselves from asking Blasey Ford probing questions despite her pointed allegations. She was, it seems, a carefully ‘contrived’ delicate flower with a do not disturb demeanor that wasn’t intruded upon.
But she was the accuser who sought to destroy Brett Kavanaugh’s life. Conversely, Mr Kavanaugh was grilled, forced to disprove an assumption of guilt. The entire sordid affair felt like an inquisition
We note with satisfaction Lindsey Graham’s courageous attack against a Democratic lynch mob. It was a stunning tirade so out of sorts for him or any Republican and it defined the outrage many felt. He pounded his colleagues with truth, “What you want to do is destroy this guy’s life…….”
Kavanaugh’s confirmation is anticipated some time this week now that a thorough 7th FBI investigation is complete. Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley said, the FBI didn’t find third parties who could attest to the allegations of misconduct, and unearthed no contemporaneous evidence. “There’s nothing in it that we didn’t already know, This investigation found no hint of misconduct.”
And we’re told undecided GOP senators have moved to support the Kavanaugh nomination after reviewing the FBI updated background check.
Democrats are predictably slamming the report as this long three month partisan ordeal finally draws to a close.
This circus reflects a Democratic hatred for anything-Trump-related and a calculated risk before the midterm elections. Many disgusted Americans gave Trump the presidency and they’re delighted with their decision. Democrats have whipped themselves into a crazed frenzy that could create another election debacle for them. Their party is consumed by madness that any sane voter would choose to avoid.
This disgraceful episode reflects unabashed partisanship. We’ll remember Kavanaugh’s humanity and decency, a rare trait that will make him an exemplary Supreme Court Justice.
And we’re not likely to forget Lindsey Graham’s perceptive comment: “I hope the American people can see through this sham.”
Rest assured, they can!
Elaine, you are once again on the mark. Let’s hope Senator Flake does not do his snowFlake dance when the confirmation vote comes to the floor.
I just literally posted this piece and you commented, Paul. How did you know there was a new piece here? I’m impressed. 🙂
Brilliant Elaine !
Jeremy I Tuchman
Thank you Jeremy for reading my piece and for your message. So glad you liked it. Glad too Kavanaugh is getting confirmed. This was close. Too close, but thank goodness we prevailed.
one must look at this differently.
it’s not that they hate trump. if anything, they’re amazed at how fast he’s bringing America back. they just can’t say it.
for decades our government has been corrupt. the dems were ready to have Hillary continue Obama’s 8 years of destroying us from within. they didn’t hide what was being done because trump would never win. but he won.
now, the dems know that trump will drain the swamp. that’s why all the desperation over Kavanaugh.
Kavanaugh will abide by the constitution as written. stopping the dems from continuing their corrupt attempt to change this country to socialism and their full control.
the dems have to win or most of them are going to prison for attempting to overthrow our government. in plain English—- treason.
Kavanaugh should be confirmed. the republicans must vote to win congress & the senate.
TRUMP WILL DO THE REST.
Exactly right Bobby C. You understand exactly what is going down. The Democrats are desperate and unhinged and they’re not going to win. Kavanaugh has integrity, will respect the constitution and won’t forget this hit job. He knows now first hand why Democrats are out of control mostly because they want to destroy our great democracy. Waiting for his confirmation and Trump’s readiness to start the war against these hideous people aka the Deep State. When that happens, it will reaffirm the greatness of America.
Thank you for your intelligent comment.
Good piece as always Elaine. I do not have much more to add you & the astute comments have explained this very thoroughly. Today’s yes vote for confirmation signifies a monumental shift in the restoration of our republic. There is still a lot of work to be done but as General MacArthur once said there is no substitute for victory.
Yes Bob, a close call but we realized a victory. I’m glad Kavanaugh won for so many reasons. Collins summed it up beautifully today. I’ve never viewed her as a solid conservative but her speech today was powerful. Both she and Lindsey Graham surprised with their courage and moxie. Nice to see two Republicans come out fighting hard for principal and integrity. Republicans have to fight. The other side is vicious and won’t stop till they’re held responsible for violating the rule of law repeatedly. Kavanaugh’s win is a victory for women, for our Supreme Court, for our constitution, for the integrity of the senate which morphed disgracefully to a new low, for the Kavanaugh family who stood tall throughout this undignified hit job.
Thank you for your terrific message. I’ve missed hearing from you!
Spot on again Elaine.
I must say I have been impressed with Lindsay Graham and Susan Collins of late. I didn’t think they had it in them! Both their speeches were impressive! Maybe, just maybe, they are getting enough of the dems open plan to take down our country! Let’s hope so!
It’s because John McCain is dead & they have to think for themselves for a change. McCain was a closeted liberal who hates Trump & would have done anything to derail Kavanaugh’s nomination.
I just mentioned McCain’s death before I read your comment Stephen. Obviously we’re in agreement. Lindsey Graham has been handed an out of jail pass. McCain died and the real Graham emerged. I’d bet too Trump and Graham had a chat. Graham is a smart man. He knows Trump is in charge. Best to get his priorities straight. Graham’s powerful castigation of the Democratic lynch mob was riveting. I cheered listening to him go off on those bastards. He articulated what we were all feeling. If we don’t stand up to these thugs, we’ll get swallowed by them.
We won this vicious partisan war. It was a war and the Supreme Court was on the cutting board. Even Ruth B Ginsberg was appalled by the Democratic degradation.
Kavanaugh is a good man. And so is Trump. Bravo.
Thanks as always for your comment!!
First time I’ve heard either Collins or Graham speak up as forcefully as this. Graham seems like a new man now that McCain is gone. This Kavanaugh hatchet job was so outrageous I’m honestly surprised more conservatives did not voice their disgust. The more digging they do into Ford and the Democratic cabal, the more information will surface. This was about the worst travesty I’ve witnessed. Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh have much in common. I’m sure they’ll be fast friends in short order. Republican politeness needs to be pushed aside and replaced with a bold agenda. The Democrats are unhinged. Absolutely mad. Thanks as always for your support Brett. You’re a good friend. Much appreciated!!
Well stated, Elaine! Excellent job! Graham & McConnel make my heart proud! Still in shock my Senator actually siding with her party😯
I think it’s a glorious time to be alive. Thank you for sharing 🙋♀️🇺🇸
Thank you Heidi! I very much appreciate your response. Yes, when good prevails over evil, it is surely a glorious time to be alive!! Love your perspective! Thanks so much!
You hit the nail on the head Elaine with this new piece on the attempted assassination of Brett Kavanaugh. The Democrats goal was to get Kavanaugh to withdraw from his nomination as SCOTUS Justice. They failed to do so & hopefully this failure has driven the final nail in the coffin of the Democratic Party!!!
Stephen, It was character assassination to be sure. Kavanaugh proved to be a tough opponent. He told them he would not withdraw and he meant it. He revealed what he is made of. So glad he is going to be on the Supreme Court. He will do us proud. Good vs evil. Good prevailed in the end.
Trump is bringing out the best in this great country. Not everyone knows that but perhaps in time, those who don’t, will come around. 🙂
I’m grateful for people like Elaine wanting to get to the truth & providing facts when we are at a pivotal time where journalists/writers only display their emotions. What we have witnessed is the Republican Party standing together, finally-as an entire team. When we do that, we cannot be defeated. This acceptance of normalizing “delayed accusations” is not only dangerous but down right dumb. If liberals ever want justice to be served, then instead of constantly victimizing women, they should empower women to report assaults and crimes sooner for justice to be served. I’m tired of the left speaking for me, a woman, a weak fragile piece of crap that needs them to save me. Thank you Elaine for this piece, keep grinding away-your powerful words make a difference!
Thanks Maggie. I agree. So sick of women using the sexual assault card decades after the fact. Women are falsely accusing men of rape which is horrifying. We saw it here with Kavanaugh. Denigrating a man like him made me sick. And you’re right. Report assault when it happens. I think women are disgusted with what took place here. November midterm will tell us how disgusted they are. Thanks for your great comment!!!!
