This is political deja vu. We’re watching a Republican nominee get creamed in a skewed unfair campaign. McCain never stood a chance. He was boring and unimaginative. Romney projected good looks and success but lacked animation and charisma. Like McCain he took a compliant approach that left the voters flat. Obama was a fluid phenomenon packaged shrewdly by David Axelrod though Obama invariably and rather quickly proved to be what many of us anticipated – a radical leftist protected by his skin color who drummed America down hard. She’s on life support.
Trump is loaded with charisma and love for country. He attracts many yet still managed to lose nine points in the latest polls these last two weeks over provocative bait fed by the Hillary campaign in her less than illustrious convention. Unfortunately, Trump’s an easy mark but Hillary’s worse. She’s dishonest and tries hard to ambush Trump any chance she gets. She can’t promote her record or her criminality so she attacks Trump. She’s got nothing else!
Recently, Trump got embroiled in an emotional brouhaha with Pakistani-American immigration lawyer, Khizr Khan whose appearance at the DNC convention ripped Trump apart by questioning his ban on Muslim immigration. It was made-to-order seditious. We watched Trump get conned-by-Khan, but you don’t attack a Gold Star Muslim family whose son died in Iraq. That’s a hands-off proposition but it was also designed to entrap. Media frenzy ensued despite the commentaries that told us exactly who Mr Khan is along with his Muslim wife who stood by his side dutifully Sharia silent.
His appearance at the convention was a ruse to attack Trump.
Among other Clinton/Khan entanglements, Mr Khan worked for Hogan & Hartson, a large law firm, whose head lobbyist in Washington DC has (incidentally) raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Hillary campaign and millions of dollars for the Clinton Foundation from countries like Saudi Arabia. They also handled the patent for ‘SPAMTRAQ,’ the spam-filtering program used on Clinton’s server – a real cozy arrangement.
In fact, Khizr Khan, and the Clinton campaign have extensive ties to the Saudis that reveal the entire Democratic Party presidential nominating process was rigged from the start. So says, Robert Spencer on Frontpage when he asks, Is Saudi Arabia trying to manipulate the U.S. election? Our media is Islam-complicit by not reporting these facts to the American public.
Still and despite the Clinton’s treasonous behavior, Trump must determine which battles to pick and which to avoid because he is held to a different standard. He cannot impulsively jump into rumbles that leave him battered. He needs to use better judgment.
Their goal is to reduce Mr. Trump to a mentally unstable crazy loon who cannot under any circumstances handle the presidency of these United States. That’s rich coming from Obama and Hillary who aren’t exactly exemplary politicians with stellar achievements to proclaim. The media ignores their failures while denigrating Trump despite his considerable achievements and terrific family.
But it’s not just them. The RINOs sold him out and many of the republican presidential contenders who couldn’t attract the people because they had no compelling talking points. Many within the conservative establishment sold out to Obama – a pro-Islam president and Iranian supporting leftist who judging from the shameful Hillary related Comey fiasco and inappropriate Lynch & Bill plane meeting, is a Democratic presidential bully who gets his way or else.
People are tired of it but the Trump defamation of character takes center stage with Hillary lobbing character-assassination-bullets with media-adoration on her side and Trump falling into too many traps with an unrestrained focus that throws him and everyone else off his game. More of these gaffes will end his game if it continues. Still, Trump can rebound and turn this controversy into rocket fuel. We’ve seen him do it before and many hope he does. But if he does, he’ll need to maintain it and sustain a dependable demeanor. Can he do that?
Reliability and consistency defines this game. Hillary stays the same. Her charmless manipulative persona remains stable. Her intentions toxic but consistent.
Trump is the man respected by the military, police, border patrol, blue collar and those tired of dishonesty who cheer him on. They’re committed. The uncommitted want candidacy solidarity that augurs well for presidential success. If they must, they’ll vote left knowing it’ll bring more of the same – a dreaded possibility but one that’s guaranteed to be that and only that.
Irrational outbursts and unacceptable behavior aren’t presidential.
Meanwhile Hillary lies and then lied some more to Chris Wallace on Fox News. Her teflon pathology always ignored by the media but no less egregious. Obama handed over $400,000,000 to Iran in a seedy cash smuggling ‘ransom’ arrangement using an unmarked cargo flight headed to Tehran that coincided with the Iranian release of four imprisoned American and while this was all playing out, Trump inexplicably went after Khan.
Pick your poison Mr Trump and do it with discernment.
There’s plenty of ammunition coming from Obama and Hillary. Use it. Then focus on the economy. That’s what the people want to hear.
