How nice it would be if we could focus on Trump’s accomplishments in his short 45 day presidency. His presidential congressional speech laid out his ambitious agenda and most were impressed if not surprised by his stunning delivery. Trump has plenty of stated goals and has already delivered on some. Unfortunately the purposeful disruptions, those coming from Obama and a spiteful Democratic party are transparent efforts to muck up Trump’s agenda and render his presidency as ineffective as possible.
But it’s Donald J. Trump they’re up against – a tough and steely contender who won’t be toppled by their Democrat syndicate.
It’s what a corrupt and desperate party does when their country has resoundingly dismissed their policies in a Democracy they choose to reject and change by force if they must. Their mutiny is led by a treacherous former president who’s been indulged too long, protected by his black skin. He denies reality choosing instead to go after the man who took his power away. Meanwhile, the people observe his tactics in disbelief wondering when this former malignant leader will finally retreat and crawl away.
At a time when we should be discussing Trump’s brilliant speech we’re mired in talk about Jeff Sessions’ purported Russian involvement which is nothing more than spin kicked up by the media and the Democratic party. On March 4th, Trump tweeted, “Just out: The same Russian Ambassador that met Jeff Sessions visited the Obama White House 22 times, and 4 times last year alone.” And how about Russian complicity in the election? There isn’t a shred of evidence there either, yet the witch hunt continues. What does emerge is Obama’s deliberate attempts to cripple the Trump presidency.
Mark Levin has demanded congress investigate Obama’s ‘silent coup’ against Trump. Along with that, Trump declared in a series of recent tweets that he believes Obama wire tapped his Trump Tower phones and the computer servers of his campaign officials. He tweeted, “Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!”
Levin tells us, “Obama requested and got the authorization to eavesdrop on the Trump campaign — the campaign of a political enemy. Then, after finding no evidence of wrongdoing they STILL KEPT EAVESDROPPING! Then they changed the rules at the National Security Agency to allow evidence to be shared widely within the Federal government. This virtually insured that the illegally taped conversations of private citizens would be leaked to the media!”
Former Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper was quick to deny Trump’s allegations though such denials are often specious, couched in damage-control word games that manipulate the truth.
Clapper was not the only denial. They came in droves.
Why would Trump make foolish accusations for which he has no proof? He has access to a vast espionage establishment, giving him crucial information when he needs it.
Andrew C. McCarthy corroborates Trump’s scandalous tweet that he predicted back in January when he warned that Obama’s DOJ and FBI were engaged in an investigation of Trump’s associates and Trump himself. To ascertain how this went down, the first request in June 2016, to criminally investigate Trump was turned down by FISA because there was no criminal evidence to warrant it. Maliciously undeterred, a second request was made in October 2016, without mentioning Trump’s name authorizing surveillance for some Trump associates, including Paul Manafort.
In truth, approval was really given to wiretap a Republican presidential candidate and his associates for purportedly acting as Russian agents, a far fetched assumption based on no substantive evidence.
McCarthy concludes: it seems to me that there is less than zero chance that could have happened without consultation between the Justice Department (Lynch) and the White House (Obama). Nevertheless, whether done inside or outside the FISA process it would be a scandal of Watergate dimension if a presidential administration sought to conduct, or did conduct, national-security surveillance against the presidential candidate of the opposition party. Unless there was some powerful evidence that the candidate was actually acting as an agent of a foreign power, such activity would amount to a pretextual use of national-security power for political purposes. That is the kind of abuse that led to Richard Nixon’s resignation in lieu of impeachment. This appears to be extraordinary, politically motivated abuse of presidential power.
Bringing a case to bear will be layered in lawyerly obfuscation that could make Watergate look tame in comparison. Proving White House complicity will be a more daunting task. How it plays out remains to be seen but we can safely presume such behavior will be suspect and potentially troubling for Obama and his party.
While Obama’s politicized Justice Department sought to criminalize Trump with zero evidence, they were simultaneously working hard to extinguish the criminal investigation against a legitimate crook, Hillary Clinton who was guilty of many things too numerous to count.
It’s mad behavior assumed by an ideologically driven man who many believe went unpunished for potential acts of treason against his country. We know too, Obama is no stranger to taps he sicced on ‘friends’ and ‘political enemies’ alike.
Despite this intentional quagmire, Trump must execute his agenda. He’s a man who won’t dither or succumb to their obstinate defiance. He’ll not be toppled by scoundrels like Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder or even the odious old George Soros whose refusal to submit may have met its match. Trump won’t be diminished by contrived obstructions. He’s unflinching and he’s president!
But with his recent tweets about Obama’s wire tap, Trump identifies his enemy by name, confirming that former president Obama is an unscrupulous man. Obama’s perverse political game declared in direct no-nonsense Trumpian terms which leaves no confusion.
Trump shrewdly altered the playing field putting Obama on defense, a unique position for a master manipulator like Obama who enjoys the upper hand as much as the sordid political game he plays so deliberately.
How Trump will deal with it will be known soon enough. This Trump tweet may reveal his intentions, “I’d bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!”
Obama comeuppance? We can only hope for that.
Obama also leaves Trump with a need to eliminate the glut of leaks he confronts now and for which National Security Adviser Michael Flynn unfairly took a fall. And there is Trump’s war on the media (16 Fake News stories) as well as his voter fraud investigation which tells us he will fight against individuals he identifies as unscrupulous.
He knows the swamp is deep, filled with desperate individuals whose objective is to derail him any way they can.
Trump will stand by those who elected him despite interference presented by a former leader who refuses to accept the people’s decision to reject his brand of leadership.
The Democratic party’s obstructionist behavior works against them. It gives more Americans a reason to stick with Trump.
Given such scurrilous behavior, and a compelling agenda, Trump should continue to win!
